ASUS Zenfone C ZC451CG to be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in Q3 2015


ASUS has been rolling out Android Lollipop 5.0 to its Zenfone 4 5 6 and Padfone S and now the company's new low-ranger android ASUS Zenfone C ZC451CG is in for the update treatment too. According to Zentalk Taiwan, Asus Zenfone C ZC451CG is scheduled for Android 5.0 Lollipop update sometime in third quarter of the year.

The ASUS Zenfone C ZC451CG was launched by ASUS at the beginning of the year. ASUS Zenfone C equipped with 4.5 inches display, 1.2GHz Dual core Intel atom Z2520 with 5MP Camera and 1GB/2GB RAM.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update will include all of the Android features and changes found on Zenfone 1st Generation series products and will also give the smartphones a bit of ZenUI Lollipop face-lift.

How to Flash ASUS Zenfone C Z007 ZC451CG


Today ASUS Zenfone Blog will teach you How to Flash ASUS Zenfone C with ASUS Flashtool. If your Zenfone C Bootloop or Stuck on ASUS logo you can flash your Zenfone C with this Tutorial. This method is for ASUS Zenfone C /Z007/ZC451CG Only.

Files Needed:

  1. Intel USB Driver (Download)
  2. ASUS Flashtool v1.0.0.11 (Download)
  3. ASUS Zenfone C ROM (Download)

Steps:

  1. Get your Zenfone C to boot into fastboot mode (Power button + Volume down)
  2. Connect Zenfone C to your PC and install USB drivers if not done already. The phone should show up as an "ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface" in the Device Manager. 
  3. Now, open ASUS Flash Tool :- ASUS Flash tool v1.0.0.11 It should detect your phone with serial number and blue orb in front of it. 
  4. Select your phone model i.e. ZC451CG Choose if you want to wipe data or not.
  5. Click box icon and browse for the signed zip image file you downloaded earlier. 
  6. Select your device on the ASUS flash Tool by clicking on the serial number
  7. Select the device on the ASUS Flash Tool Click on the green start button, be patient, stay calm and cross your fingers. This could take 10-20minutes or so.

Instructions

  1. Download File Above and Extract
  2. Enable Zenfone C USB Debugging (Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging) and Connect to Laptop/PC
  3. Install ADB Driver 
  4. Open Asus Intel Root kit Folder and run "CheckBeforeAction.bat" and Follow the Instructions
  5. Your Zenfone C will be reboot then run"root.bat"
  6. Finish, Enjoy your Rooted Zenfone C
