How To Install:

1. Unlock Bootloader your Zenfone 5 First : Tutorial Here for Kitkat / Tutorial Here for Lollipop
2. Extract .zip above and place to ADB Folder
3. Enable Zenfone 5 USB Debugging
4. Connect to PC/Laptop
5. At ADB Folder Press Shift+Right Click > Open Command Here
6. Type adb reboot bootloader and press Enter
7. At Zenfone 5 Fastboot Type (at cmd):
fastboot flash boot boot-newDTW.img and press enter (wait until finish)
fastboot flash system system-DTW.img and press enter (wait until finish)
8. Factory Reset
9. Done

FIX
Double tap to wake  -> ok
video thumb -> ok
video play -> ok
video streaming -> ok
auto brightness -> ok
rild is now build from source
build without breaking domain
signal strength for our device -> invalid the LTE we don't use it

Today ASUS Zenfone Blog will teach you How to Add Double Tap to Sleep Zenfone 5. This Feature only work for Zenfone 5 Lollipop and only for turn off the screen (wake up not working, use power button to wake). You must have Rooted Zenfone 5 to do this Tutorial, You can easily Root Your Device with Zenfone Root Kit Here

Files needed:

1. Root Browser (Download at Playstore)
2. asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml (Download)

Steps:

1. Download asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml above
2. Copy to Internal/SD card
3. Open Root Browser and Grant SuperSU
4. Copy asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml and paste at System/etc/permission and set permission (tap file and hold) set to rw--r--r or 0644
   
   
5. Reboot device and go to Settings>Zenmotion
   
6. Turn On Double Tap suspend
   
7. Done, Double Tap anywhere at homescreen to suspend/double tap at status bar at menu to suspend.

How to Downgrade ASUS Zenfone 5 A500CG from Lollipop 5.0 to Kitkat 4.4

Today ASUS Zenfone Blog will show you How to Downgrade ASUS Zenfone 5 A500CG From Lollipop to KitKat.

Downgrade Step (From L to KK)

1. Download the downgrade tool: UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.2.2.2-user.zip
2. Using MTP connecting ZenFone5 with PC. (Enable MTP: Setting-->Storage-->press the USB icon on right corner--> Enable MTP)
3. Copy file UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.3.3.3-user.zip to the ZenFone5 internal storage.
4. Remove the USB cable, the device will pops up the system upgrade information.
5. After finished, device will auto reboot and perform factory reset.
6. Then copy file UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.2.2.2-user to the ZenFone5 internal storage again.
7. After downgraded, device will auto reboot and perform factory reset.
8. After finished, please go to Settings->About-> software information->Build number. The version should be V2.21.40.44

How to fix Zenfone 5 "no sound" when calling after update 2.22.40.53

this annoying trouble caused by Zenfone 5 latest system update 2.22.40.53. ASUS team are actively working for fix. for temporary way you can follow this step to fix this issue:

1. Turn on Dial pad touch tones (settings>sound) if doesnt work,
2. When accept incoming call press "hold" button once (upper right of 9 buttons)  
3. Then immediatelly press it again, and then you can successfully talk on your phone

This issue only happens on the incoming call

Android L Release Delayed Due To Zenfone Verification Process Problem

Sad news for ASUS Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6, and Padfone S user. Today ASUS via Zentalk Super Moderator announced that ASUS will postpone Android L upgrade because verification process problem. Zenfone 1st Generation scheduled to get Android 5.0 L in Mid May, but with this announcement they will rearrange Android L upgrade schedule. This is the original post:

How To Downgrade From Lollipop Beta to Kitkat

Today Asus Zenfone Blog post tutorial How to Downgrade from Android 5.0 Lollipop Beta to Kitkat 4.4.2. Couple days ago Asus Zenfone Blog Posted ROM Lollipop Beta for Asus Zenfone 5,  If you not satisfied with the performance or want to back to KitKat This Tutorial will help you. DWYOR and Backup your data first because this tutorial will erase all your data.

Files to Download:

1. Asus Zenfone 5 4.4.2 System img (Download Here/MIRROR)
2. Boot.img recovery.img fastboot.img (Download Here)

Instructions:

1. Download Files Above and Extract 
2. Activate USB Debugging (Go to Developer Options>USB Debugging)
3. Connect Zenfone 5 Lollipop to PC/Laptop
4. Open WW Folder and Open CMD (Shift+Right Click > Open Command Here)
   
5. Check if your Zenfone Connected or Not. Type: ADB devices and you will see your device connected or not (Don't forget to click authorize on Zenfone 5 screen)
   
   
6. Now Reboot to Bootloader by Typing: adb reboot bootloader
7. After Entering bootloader then flash boot.img, fastboot.img, and recovery.img. type: fastboot flash boot boot.img then wait until finished type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then wait until finished, type: fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
   
8. Go to System Image Folder and Open CMD (Shift+Right Click>Open Command Here)
9. Type: fastboot flash system system.img and wait until compete
   
   
   
   
10. Go to Droidboot and Choose Factory Reset
11. Reboot and Your Zenfone will be back to KitKat

1. Turn off your Zenfone
2. Hold Power button + Volume up
3. When the phone is vibrating release power button

6. Then You will see sleep android robot, Press Power button + Volume up and release the buttons
