Microsoft Store UK lists Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL

The official Microsoft UK store now lists the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL smartphones in the "Windows 10 Ready Phones" section of the site. Clearly, this is a result of a mistake, as the phones are supposed to be officially announced on October 6.

As you can see, pricing isn't specified and has been listed as "XXX.XX." The specs confirm previous reports about the upcoming Lumia flagships. As per past leaks the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will have a 5.2" and a 5.7" displays, respectively, both at QHD resolution.

The Lumia 950 XL will have a more powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset, 32GB of expandable memory and a 3,300mAh battery. The smaller Lumia 950 will have a slightly less powerful Snapdragon 808 chip and a smaller 3,000mAh battery. Both phones will share a 20MP PureView camera with triple-LED flash as well as USB Type-C port.

Less than a week from now, at the company's October 6 event, we'll get to see the debut of the duo alongside the Lumia 550 mid-ranger.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL measures revealed in leaked factory render

The physical measures of the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 950 XL got fully revealed by a leaked factory CAD render. Typically, factory renders are used in a device’s manufacturing process.


Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will measure 151.9 x 78.4 x 7.8 mm. The device’s thickest point at its camera hump will measure 9.9 mm thick. There is no word on the weight of the handset just yet.
This means that Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will be slightly shorter and wider than Samsung Galaxy Note5. For comparison, the Korean giant’s flagship phablet measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm.

Recently leaked presentation slides confirmed that Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable memory, and 5.7” QHD display. The rest of the device’s lengthy spec sheet includes 20MP PureView camera, 3,300mah battery, USB Type-C port, and support for Qi wireless charging.

The Redmond giant’s next-generation flagship smartphone will debut in a little over a week, on October 6 in New York City. Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 550 will also debut alongside the Lumia 950 XL.

Leaked Microsoft Lumia 950 XL render shows the flagship in white

Lumia fans have been gorging on 950 rumors and the upcoming flagship is out yet again. @evleaks has contributed a press render to the already extensive efforts to show everything about the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL before it is officially unveiled.
This image shows the White color option (until now the Blue one was used in leaks). We've already seen the measurements (151.9 x 78.4 x 9.9mm) and specs (5.7" QHD screen, Snapdragon 810, 20MP PureView camera), there's even European pricing info - €750 (around $840).

A keen eye will also spot the dual-SIM indicators on the display of the Lumia 950 XL. Microsoft embraced the multi-SIM format with its entry-level offerings and it seems this will permeate all the way to the top.

Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and Lumia 550 get fully detailed in leaked slides

Microsoft’s upcoming trio of Windows 10 smartphones got fully detailed ahead of their launch thanks to leaked slides from an internal presentation. Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and Lumia 550 will make their official debut alongside Microsoft Band 2 and Microsoft Surface Pro 4 at an event in New York City on October 6.


In line with past leaks, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will be the Redmond giant’s flagship smartphone. Its specs include 5.7” QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 32GB of expandable memory, Iris scanner, and 3,300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm QuickCharge and Qi wireless charging.


The Lumia 950 XL will sport 20MP PureView camera with triple-LED flash, coupled with 5MP front-facing snapper. Cable connectivity will take place via USB Type-C.


Microsoft Lumia 950 will feature a more compact 5.2” QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, and 3,000mAh battery. The rest of the device’s specs match those of its larger sibling.


Both the Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 will support Windows 10 Continuum. Users will be able to connect the devices to a full-size monitor via a dedicated dock.

Microsoft Lumia 550 on the other hand, will be an affordable Windows 10 device. Its specs include 5” HD display, unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with 1GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable memory.


The rest of the handset’s specs consist of 5MP main camera, 2MP front-facing unit, and 1,905mAh battery. The main camera will have LED flash.

New Lumia 950 XL leak confirms some specs we already knew

A new leak has surfaced online, confirming some of the already-known key specs of Microsoft's upcoming Lumia 950 XL smartphone. The said leak is in the form of a screenshot of the device running build 10547 of Windows 10 Mobile (shown below).


The screenshot above confirms that the Lumia 950 XL will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC, and sport a 1440 x 2560 QHD display. It was also confirmed that the handset will have 3GB of RAM.
Other specs that we already know are: 32GB expandable storage, 20 MP rear camera, 5 MP front shooter, USB Type-C port for charging, and 3,300 mAh battery. As for the price, a recent leak suggested that the dual-SIM variant will carry a tag of around $840, at least in Europe.

Spanish retailer leaks Lumia 950 and 950 XL prices

Just days after there were reports that the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will carry a price tag comparable to that of the Apple iPhone 6s, a Spanish retailer has leaked the price of the upcoming Windows 10 device, as well as that of its smaller sibling, the Lumia 950.
As per the listing, the dual-SIM variants of the Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 will set you back €749 ($838) and €659 ($738), respectively. This compares with the iPhone 6s (16GB variant), which carries a price tag in the range of €740-€750 in some European countries - its Spanish prices are yet to be announced.
Specs-wise, from what is known till now, both the Microsoft handsets sport QHD display, 3GB RAM, and 32GB expandable storage. They feature a 20 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front shooter, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
While the 950 XL is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and pack in a 3,300 mAh battery, the Lumia 950 is said to feature the Snapdragon 808 chipset and a 3,000 mAh cell.

Upcoming Microsoft Lumia 550 allegedly pictured in four colors

Microsoft will soon announce its first smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile from day one. The company has already scheduled an event on October 6 for this purpose, and as we get closer to that date we're expecting to see more and more leaks relating to such devices.

Take today, for example. A set of four pictures has been leaked, and they reportedly show the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 550 in four color versions - white, red, blue, and black. Make sure to click on the thumbnails in order to see the full size images.

While the high-end Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL pair have been talked about a lot in past rumors, we've only started hearing about the Lumia 550 in July. Earlier this month, some of its specs were seemingly confirmed by a Swiss retailer, and now the shots above have also thankfully arrived complemented by hardware details.

Hence, we find out that the Microsoft Lumia 550 will have a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED touchscreen, 8GB of internal storage, and at the helm shall be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 SoC, boasting a 1.1 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. Given the chipset, we expect the Lumia 550 to feature Cat.4 LTE support, for download speeds of up to 150Mbps, as well as 50Mbps uploads.

A previous leak talked about the Lumia 550 getting a 5-inch touchscreen though. That same leak went on to claim the phone will have a 5 MP main camera, a 2 MP front cam, 1GB of RAM, and a 1,905 mAh battery.
